In 2009, the Government of Kenya and concerned citizens joined forces with the James R. Jordan Foundation International (“JRJFI”) to develop a legally registered wellness Centre concept and promote the training of a new generation of qualified health care
workers to improve the health care needs of women and children in Kenya and East Africa.
Through its outreach program, Kenya Women & Children’s Wellness Centre (KWCWC) has
been able to establish a GBV prevention program with specific thematic areas addressing the teachers and schools; community and faith based organizations; youth and health workers; provincial administrative leaders and paralegals. The implementation activities are geared towards behavior change in order to entrench a culture that respects the sanctity and dignity of human beings irrespective of gender.
They envision to positively impact the lives of communities in the provision of sustainable and development programs
