The World United Youths Against Terrorism - WUYAT is a youth movement that started in the university of Abuja, Nigeria. Its is made up of lecturers from different fields of study, NGOs, businesses, young professionals and students with an undying passion to help others, to contribute to community development and promote peace. Their main objectives are to utilize the potentials of the youths to build a sustainable society through partnerships with NGOs, businesses and cooperation with enlightened professionals from around the world who are interested in making the world a better place. They came to lend a voice to the fight against extremism, terrorism, gender and colour violence, poverty, child labour, and any form of violence against children, women and young people all over the world and encouraging youth participation in economic development.
Visionary Youths of the Gambia Association works in different interventions areas but mainly focused on empowering youths with life skills, employment opportunities and other issues concerning development. However, its work is cross cutting hence it is established to serve the purpose of youth at all areas/levels.
The International Youth Council (IYC) is a civil society organization founded at the Youth Assembly at the United Nations in 2007. IYC has a mission that is dedicated to giving young people across the world both collective voice and a mechanism to support global sustainable development on local, regional and International levels and the vision is to build a global forum and platform on which all young people can develop a unified voice and take collective action toward social, economic, and environmental progress.
YPM is a child led advocacy organization, that aims to support and consolidate the efforts of young people working towards protecting and promoting the rights of the Child, Pan Africanism and peace. A joint project of children and young people. Young People in the Media is a non-political and non-profit umbrella organization, which was formed in early 2006, officially launched by the Minister for information, communication and Information technology and presided over by her Excellency the Vice President Dr. Aja Isatou Njie Saidy as part of activities making the International Children’s Day of Broadcasting on the 9th Dec 2006. It has a membership of school going age comprising of special need children and vulnerable children from disadvantaged backgrounds. YPM is a not-for-profit and non-partisan charitable organization.
Young Minds for Gender Equality is a youth-led 501c3 foundation igniting a collaborative network of students, business, and civil society organizations to learn, think, and act on innovative solutions towards full gender equality.
Founded in 2012, the Young Men Foundation Against Sexual and Gender Based Violence is a network of young men across Nigeria. It cuts across the socio-cultural, economic and religious statuses of young men.There is one goal: to end gender based violence in all of its forms in Nigeria and by extension, Africa. Young male leaders mobilise to challenge cultural perceptions and stereotypes that fuel gender-based violence (especially sexual violence) and oppression against women and girls while influencing attitudes and behaviours in their various communities as change agents.
The network has active membership of over 500 young men from all walks of life in 14 States in Nigeria. Each State has at least 35 members. The network is coordinated at the centre by the National Coordinator and State Coordinators in the State chapters.
The network enjoys goodwill from UNFPA, UN-Women, Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, among others in Nigeria and has carried out a number of activities in collaboration with Education as a Vaccine and Voice 4 Change – Nigeria.
The Youth Network Against FGM (YNAF) is a youth led organisation working against FGM in Nigeria.
The organization works with passionate young people from around the world to end Female genital mutilation in our generation. YNAF uses every available media and communication channel to lead in the fight against the practice of FGM/FC in Nigeria.
YNAF also partners with other organisations to provide support to already affected victims of FGM.
YNAF has produced a movie on FGM called "Onikola" and it is being widely distributed to further sensitize the public on FGM and its effects.
