Social Change Communications Manager


Asenath Mwithigah is the Social Change Communications Manager at the Girl Generation. She contributes to the designing and implementation social change communications capacity building agenda for our partners, members, youth networks, and other key stakeholders across the our ten focal countries and beyond so as to build a critical mass of change agents, who form the Africa- led global movement, through which together we can end  FGM in a generation.
Asenath, brings diverse experience and expertise in content and capacity development for social change, advocacy and programme management, which has been acquired through her work across various development programmes including Gender Equality, Water and Sanitation, Maternal Health, Governance, Women Economic Empowerment, Gender Based Violence and Child Protection sectors.
Prior to joining The Girl Generation, Asenath worked as the Country Coordinator for The Guardian News and Media Limited (UK)-Global Media Campaign to End FGM-, as the Country Coordinator-The Devolution Forum for the World Bank, and as Communications and National Programme Officer for Maendeleo Ya Wanawake Organization (Women Movement in Kenya).
